ARTIST STATEMENT
In 2020, the year I moved to the United States, I discovered the transformative power of watercolor. What began as a creative outlet soon became a lifelong passion and the foundation of my artistic practice.
Working primarily in watercolor, I create realistic paintings that explore light, form, texture, and depth. I am fascinated by the ability of watercolor—a medium often associated with softness and transparency—to achieve remarkable detail and dimensionality. Through carefully layered washes and meticulous observation, I strive to create paintings that feel tangible, inviting viewers to look closer and discover the subtle complexities within each subject.
My work is inspired by the quiet beauty found in everyday moments and natural forms. I am drawn to subjects that reveal intricate details, delicate textures, and the interplay of light and shadow, transforming ordinary observations into immersive visual experiences.
Each painting is an exercise in patience, precision, and wonder. By capturing a sense of realism while preserving the luminous qualities unique to watercolor, I seek to create work that evokes stillness, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us.
I hope my paintings invite viewers to pause, look closely, and experience the sense of awe and connection that inspires my work every day.
